This year, Ilford Muslim Society along with all the Masajid in Redbridge will be participating in running the Help the Homeless food project as part of the FORMO initiative. Collectively delivering to the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter and 2 other local food banks.
To donate towards the project please bring the following items:
Rice
Pasta
Tinned Soup – Chicken, Tomato, Vegetable
Tinned Tuna
Pasta Sauces (long life)
Tinned Custard
Tinned Rice Pudding
Tinned Fruit
Biscuit
Crisps
Packaged Cakes (with shelf life of 3 months)
Cereals
Long life Milk
Tea
Coffee
Sugar
Squash
Fruit Juice
Oil
Instant Mash
Toiletries – shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, soap, tampons/sanitary towels, body lotion,
Socks, Gloves, Scarves, Hats
There will be volunteers in the Porta Cabin, 113 Thorold Road, from 130pm-630pm Sunday 6th December.
This initiative has been running for 3 years and has been a great success with good Media coverage.
