Cricket Coach Assistant

Club Cricket Academy has on average of 25 participants that attend training sessions aimed at children and young adults ranging from 7-19 years. The sessions are held each Saturday from 9am-11am at Forest Gate Community School in Forest Gate (Sports Hall). There is a minimum fee that each child pays, helping to contribute to the cost of the hall hire.

In 2014, we help run our inaugural cricket tournament which was organised by Club Cricket Academy in conjunction with Essex County Cricket Club. More than 150 enthusiastic participants from the local community took part. A special guest joined us for lunch, Sajid Mahmood, Essex County Cricket Club who has also represented England at international level. A few pearls of wisdom were passed down to this new generation of hopefuls!

Due to the success of the inaugural event, we decided to make this an annual event and earlier this year, in conjunction with Essex County Cricket Club, we hosted the 2nd cricket tournament. Team representation exceeded the 150 participants in our first event the previous year and it was a fabulous day for all that attended. Essex sent two young and upcoming cricketers to give hope and inspiration to the children that attended.
